Cuddlebrook Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Cuddlebrook iPad game handles information when you play.

What Cuddlebrook Stores on Your iPad

To keep your shelter running, the game stores these items on your device, in the storage Apple provides to every app:

• Your saved shelter: your shift progress, animals, adoptions, and rooms. The game keeps your latest save, the save before it as a backup, and a copy of the day in progress so you can pick up where you left off.
• The name you give your forever pet and, if you choose to give one, the name of your shelter. You can set both when you start a new shelter. A forever pet's name can be up to 16 characters and a shelter name up to 24. These are names for a game character and a game shelter. They are saved with your shelter.
• Your settings, such as whether sound and music are on and your text size.
• A small record that Unlock the Full Shelter was bought, if you bought it.

This information is used only to run the game. It is never sent to Cuddlebrook Studios or to anyone else, and the studio cannot see it.

What Cuddlebrook Does Not Collect

Cuddlebrook does not ask you to create an account, and it does not ask for your email address, phone number, mailing address, location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera. It has no chat, no friends list, and no public profile. The only text you can type into the game is your forever pet's name and, if you choose, the shelter's name. Both stay on your iPad.

The Optional Purchase

Cuddlebrook is free to download. It offers one optional purchase: Unlock the Full Shelter, a one-time $4.99 purchase (the App Store shows the price for your region). It opens more staff you can hire and rooms you build with in-game money: a vet clinic, a surgery suite, a grooming room, and rooms for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and birds. It is not a subscription, and the game has no ads.

Apple handles the whole purchase. When you buy or restore the unlock, the game talks to Apple's App Store, not to a server run by Cuddlebrook Studios or any third party. Apple processes your payment, and Cuddlebrook never sees your Apple ID, name, card number, or billing details. The game receives only the purchase status: whether Unlock the Full Shelter has been bought.

The game also checks with the App Store when it opens, and when you open the unlock screen, so it can tell whether the unlock was already bought. These checks do not send anything about how you play. Apple's own privacy policy covers what Apple does with purchase information on its side.

The Website Links Inside the Game

The game's Menu has Privacy Policy and Support rows. Each opens one page on cuddlebrook.com in an in-app Safari window, which is a web page shown inside the game. Opening a page is an ordinary web visit. The website's host may keep the standard technical records that any website keeps, such as your IP address and the time of the visit. Our website at cuddlebrook.com uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and visits without cookies and without identifying you. The app itself collects no data and sends nothing about you or how you play. Cuddlebrook Studios does not add advertising to these pages. If you do not tap those rows, the game does not contact the website.

Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking

The Cuddlebrook app includes no advertising, no analytics, no cross-app tracking, and no behavioral profiling. The only analytics are the Cloudflare Web Analytics on our website, described above. Cuddlebrook does not sell or share personal information, because it does not collect any.

Children

Cuddlebrook is rated 4+ in the App Store. It has no account, no ads, no chat, and no way to contact other players, and it does not collect personal information from children or from any other player. Purchases go through Apple, so Apple's parental controls, such as Ask to Buy, apply to Unlock the Full Shelter.

Keeping and Deleting Your Information

Your saved information stays on your iPad for as long as the app is installed. Deleting the app from your iPad removes the saved information along with it.

Choosing New Game in the Menu starts a fresh shelter, but your saves stay in place at first. The game keeps at most two saves, so the old shelter's save stays until the new shelter has been saved twice, and then it is gone and the game keeps no copy of it. To remove everything at once, delete the app.

Cuddlebrook has no cloud save and does not sync between devices. If you back up your iPad using Apple's backup features, the backup may include the game's saved information. Apple controls those backups, and Cuddlebrook Studios cannot see them.

Because Cuddlebrook Studios holds no personal information about your play, there is nothing on our side to look up, correct, or delete.

If You Email Us

If you write to the support address, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and to help fix the problem you describe. Please do not include passwords or payment details in your message.

Security

Cuddlebrook keeps your game information on your device and does not run a separate game server. No method of storing information is perfectly secure, but the game avoids unnecessary collection and sending of information to limit exposure.

Changes to This Policy

If Cuddlebrook's features or practices change, this policy will be updated at this same address, and the effective date above will change to match.
